The research group Ontologies in Medicine and Life Sciences (Onto-Med) at the Institute for Medical Informatics, Statistics, and Epidemiology (IMISE), University of Leipzig, opens a number of positions (50%-100% of TV-L E13) for publicly funded research projects in the field of development of ontologies and its applications in various medical or biomedical fields. The positions start as soon as possible and are – without fixed deadline – open until filled.

Requirements

The candidate holds a MS degree in Computer Science, Medical Informatics or in a related field and is able to work on both conceptual modeling of domains and practical implementation tasks related to one of the following areas: Ontologies, Semantic web technologies, Semantic technologies in bioinformatics, medical informatics or another application field. Fluent English or German communication are requirements.
